Transfer Software To Panasonic Showstopper

The age of VCR has gone for good since the introduction of Panasonic showstopper which come with the latest replay technology. It sues the computer technology for storage. It comes with a capacious hard disk for
storage, compresses the TV programs and stores them on the hard disk so that you can watch these programs later. Different types of Panasonic showstoppers are available in the market according to their use with the home theatres or your television. Most of the showstoppers require the wire of the television and telephone line directly into them. The installation process of Panasonic showstopper software is not straightforward.

STEP 1:

Panasonic showstopper is not a plug and play device and it needs to be connected with the telephone lines for its installation and working. Take the plug wire out of the shipment carton and connect the hardware with the telephone line by connecting the wire in the DSS receiver.

This device requires a constant connection for its working as it receives the data from the DSS with the help of telephone lines.

STEP 2:

You need a port on your DSS receiver to showstopper and not all the receivers come with this port. You can also use your cable box for this purpose if the facility is not available with the DSS receiver. Hook up the showstopper with the serial port of your device, either cable box or dish receiver.

STEP 3:

If you have a home theatre that comes with an AV preamp it is better to hook up the show stopper in between the cable box and AV preamp. Loop your cable line directly into your showstopper if you don’t wan to involve the AV preamp.

STEP 4:

Check that your showstopper is receiving signals from the dish receiver; it will establish as connection through the telephone line and download the software from the internet. The showstopper keeps on updating the list of the available channels and programs list through telephone lines and you can watch these channels and programs whenever you have are free from the work.

STEP 5:

You can use VCR for output instead of TV or home theatre if you want to. For this purpose you will have to connect the showstopper with the VCR unit with the help of a wire.

Tips:

If there is no slot in your DSS receiver or cable box for the showstopper, you can use an IR emitter but the speed will be reduced to some extent.
